Spring is here once again and Footprints Resort is coming alive! Opening May long weekend every year doesn’t leave much time after a long, cold winter, but our crew are working hard to have things beautiful and ready for the first wave of loving, committed couples to our Couples romantic retreat! Tucked away in the highlands outside Bancroft ON, the view of the private lake is breath taking. Visitors might view a pair of otters on the lake, diving and eating crayfish. Ducks often land on the lake on their way north, the turtles are starting to hatch and we even see wildlife footprints on the grounds: This week I saw moose tracks!
There is so much to do at Footprints, or nothing at all while on vacation here. Stroll the grounds, walk the trails, sit in the shade with a good book or challenge your significant other to a friendly game. Mix a drink at the bar, cuddle up by the fire, or stare at the stars. And by the way, the view of the stars out here is amazing away from city lights!
Footprints Resort is a great place to vacation if you want time to reconnect with your loved one. Couples enjoy the romantic atmosphere here with time to snuggle, share and communicate with each other. Mingle with other guests, or don’t: It’s up to you! The grounds are large enough with small social areas so you and your sweetie can be as isolated as you like, while still allowing communal cooking and eating if you wish. Many guests here make friends instantly with other couples and share meals and time around the nightly campfire. Others keep to themselves. That’s the beauty of Footprints! It’s what you make of it!
